In the Computer Business Review analysis of UC Expo 2016 Alexander Sword wrote about an impressive array of speakers and exhibitors at the annual UC Event and the good quantity and quality of footfall being particularly noticeable this year.

He also wrote that "unified communications are likely to be the workplace norm within the next few years, and ... speaking to delegates at the conference, there was a sense that the industry no longer had to pitch the importance of the concept but could begin to expand on the capabilities UC offers and how it can slot into a business."

It should be no surprise then that he also wrote that according to an IDC report interviewing businesses across the UK and Europe, 93 percent of businesses in Western Europe plan to invest in unified communications over the next 1 to 3 years.

As an exhibitor at the show we had similar experiences to report. One of the things that struck us in particular was how we may have been taking our mobile integration too much for granted. Many visitors wanted to talk to us about how we integrate mobile via the SIM card rather than via an app. This means that all communications devices are equal extensions in the BeneCloud Unified Communications Platform.
